Celebrating 50 Fabulous Years

2019 Derby Dolls

The El Campo Derby Dolls were formed in the fall of 1969 under the direction of Mrs. Pat Clark. The name "Derby Dolls" was established as a result of uniform selection when the girls decided to wear derby hats to distinguish themselves from other groups in the area influenced by some gentlemens' fashion the football season prior to their existence.

Over the past 50 years, the Derby Dolls have participated in numerous competitions, programs, community-service projects, and fund-raisers. They have received countless awards at contests over the years. These young ladies are revered not only on the campus of ECHS, but in the community as well, for demonstrating their discipline and manners in everything they do.

The Derby Dolls appreciate all of the support the El Campo community has given them throughout the years. These well-disciplined and energetic young ladies have had the privilege of being under the direction and guidance of the following directors over the past 50 years.
